I'm Niila Haapakoski, a 19 year old graphic designer & director from Orimattila, Finland. I'm currently serving my mandatory military service as a conscript graphic designer in Ruotuväki, Finnish Defence Forces' official news magazine.

I have learned to do graphic design by myself, but despite my young age I have gained a lot of experience from various assignments. I'm specialized to album artworks, but I'm very intrested in all types of other projects also!

My so far the biggest project was making graphics to a campaign led by Alexander Stubb, the President of the Republic of Finland and the Finnish Defence Forces. In addition to the 100+ album artworks I've made, I got to make a logo for Finland's biggest movie production company, Solar Film's, next movie called Cancel. I've also designed a whole new logo for a Finnish football club, Oriveden Tuisku, and done other sport graphics for teams and athletes. I was chosen to design the promo posters for a big boxing event taking place in the Helsinki Ice Hall, called The Return Of The Legends!

I started editing pictures already when I was only 11 years old, using my mom's laptop. Took a couple of years, and I started editing pictures with my phone to an Instagram-account, which later on reached 3000 active followers, although I was just writing sport-news in it. Anyways, I moved to my own laptop and Photoshop when I turned 14. That was when I really started graphic design.

That IG account quickly became a big part of me, and made me intrested in the media industry as a whole. After an on-the-job training at a local newspaper, I switched off from writing, to focus only on graphic designing.

Quickly after the desicion to start focusing only on designing, I realised how things already started to pay off. Already, as 15 years old I worked with a couple of artists, one of them being the Swedish-star Daniel Javan.

Now, still only as 19 years old I already work with many artists and other clients around the world and Finland. I've got to create cool projects and meet amazing people! Even though it's still only baby steps, without hard work I would've not got even this far.
